DeepEats

These terms apply to the website at deepeats.app (the "site") and the DeepEats iPhone app (the "app"), which is currently in beta. By using the site or the app, you agree to them. "DeepEats", "we" and "us" mean the team behind DeepEats.

1. Not medical advice

DeepEats shows patterns between the meals you log and your sleep data. These are associations in your own data, not proof of cause, and they aren't a diagnosis or treatment of any condition. Nutrient, caffeine and alcohol figures are estimates. Don't use DeepEats in place of advice from a doctor or other qualified professional, and don't delay seeking care because of something you saw in the app. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a professional before changing how you eat.

2. The beta and the waitlist

Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee access. We invite people to the beta over time. The beta is free while it lasts. Beta software can have bugs, missing features and changes, and we may change, pause or end the beta at any time. If we introduce paid plans later, we'll tell you before anything is charged.

3. Eligibility and requirements

You must be at least 18 to use DeepEats. The app requires an iPhone, an Oura ring (Gen 3 or later) and an active Oura membership, which you get from Oura and pay for separately. Your use of Oura is covered by Oura's own terms.

4. Your data

Your meals and sleep data belong to you. How we handle them is described in our Privacy Policy. App data is stored on your iPhone, so you're responsible for your device and its backups.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the site or the app. That includes trying to break or overload them, getting around rate limits or security, scraping them, reverse engineering the app except where the law allows, using the site's question box to generate content unrelated to DeepEats, or using DeepEats to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

6. AI-generated answers and estimates

The site's question box and the app's meal recognition use AI. Answers and estimates can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important, and use the app's editing tools to correct meals.

7. Our content

The site, the app, the DeepEats name and logo, and our articles belong to DeepEats or its licensors. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial use of DeepEats. Oura is a trademark of Oura Health Oy. DeepEats is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Oura.

8. Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve DeepEats without any obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

DeepEats is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will improve your sleep or health.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, DeepEats won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or health outcomes arising from your use of the site or the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50 USD. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using DeepEats at any time by deleting the app and asking us to remove your waitlist email. We may suspend access if you break these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as DeepEats develops. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll let waitlist members and app users know. Using DeepEats after a change means you accept the updated terms.
